Parent Band Information Night

Parents/carers of Year 4 students are invited to a Winthrop Band information session to learn more about the opportunity for their children to be part of the Year 5 Band in 2024.
Date: Thursday 26 October 2023 (Week 3)
Time: 3:45 – 4:45pm
Where: Winthrop Primary School Undercover Area (to hear the current Year 5 band perform), followed by the Music Room
At the session will session you’ll learn the about instrumental lessons and band performances throughout the year, the difference between the Winthrop Band program and strings (IMSS) program, which instruments are involved and how these are allocated, fees and private lesson costs, the commitment required from band members and more.
Band is open to all interested students (in Year 4 this year) by self-nomination. We hope to get a number of Year 4 students interested in joining, ready to begin in Year 5 Band in 2024.
A Band Enrolment Information booklet will be made available to interested parents at the session.
Please return the Band Information Session attendance form by Monday 23rd October 2023 to the office.
