The Year 4 and 5 Launch Club students would like to invite you to this year’s innovative Personal Project Display in the school library as part of WPS Open Night.
Please make sure you make your way down to the library during Open Night. The Year 5 Launch Club students have been working on their personal Projects throughout the year. They are now ready to showcase their innovative and creative ideas to a wider audience.
These students have challenged themselves by creating over twenty STEM styled projects that they are passionate about. These projects include resin art, inventive machinery, board games, Claymation, toy development, upcycled furniture, jewellery and phone cases, along with modelled planes and key chains. There will be something for everyone to enjoy!
They have employed many critical thinking skills and demonstrated persistence to explore their line of inquiry and develop something that demonstrates their patience and diligence. The students completed this project alongside their busy timetable. They are all proud of the Personal Project that they have completed.
The students will be including their process journals in their display to show you how they went about creating their work. There will also be a sound scape QR code attached to the individual project, so you can meet the creator and listen to what inspired them to create their project, the problems they may have experienced along the way and the new skills they learnt whilst putting together their enrichment project.
So come along and immerse yourself in the original work of these creative minds. Show your support for their vibrant displays and their creative and innovative thinking. Many of the creators will be at their stalls, so you can ask them a few questions too.
There will also be a display of the Year 4 Launch student’s board games. These games are another example of the creative thinkers we have here at Winthrop. Each one is unique in its design.
I look forward to meeting you all in the library at our Launch Showcase on Open Night!
